It’s Saturday, which means it’s cleaning day at my house. Since it’s coming up on Thanksgiving that means full steam ahead on the clean machine! Today I decided to tackle the most challenging: my room.
I saw a while back great idea for folding your t-shirts to better fit in the dresser. Since most of my laundry was in various piles/baskets/unpacked bags, I decided now was the time to try it.
I reorganized my general tshirts the way that they show in the pin. So far I love this a lot better than stacking them on top of each other. It’s so much easier to see them! I actually found a bunch of shirts I completely forgot about. It’s much easier to see everything, and visually gives you just enough of the design that from a glance you can find those “forgotten shirts” and wear them again.
For my tank top/pj’s drawer I decided to give it a different organization technique. The shirts are mostly all tank tops/camis. I can never see them all and go months without wearing one and wear others multiple times a month. I’ve even bought a number of all the same color cause I couldn’t see that I had them. Since these shirts are so much thinner, I decided to roll them up. Folding the shirts into thirds made them the perfect height to fit into my drawer. To keep them separate from my shorts, I laid those on their sides.

What I Would Change: I rolled some shirts because they were too thin. For the T-shirts, I’d recommend making sure part of the t-shirt design is showing. That way it’s easier to know which shirt is is before you pull them out. | |||||||

So far I like it. I don’t think it’s really made more room in the dresser, but it’s much easier to see what I have. Now I just need to find a way to do this with my closet.
