I love to cook and bake and do crafts and lot of other “domestic” things. I do not like to clean. I have never been known to be tidy. It definitely wouldn’t hurt for me to adopt a cleaning schedule just so it gets down. I saw this simple schedule on Pinterest (I’ve seen it many times actually) and thought I would give it a shot.
This is really a maintenance schedule. If your house is already a mess, you might want to consider getting organized first. So I need to work on that a little… I would also like to point out that cleaning a house is not a job for just one person in that house. If you live with other people, get them involved! That is my biggest struggle.
It quickly became obvious to me that I could just cross off the “as needed” after the vacuum and sweep direction. I have two dogs. I should vacuum everyday. I’m also not sure why I would be wiping down my bedroom walls. What was the creator of this pin doing in their room that required the walls to be wiped?
Adopting this schedule has made my house a little more livable, but I am going to miss the hilarious butt mark in the coffee table dust.

If you are a slovenly 20 something, this is the pin for you. It helped me feel less overwhelmed with the prospect of maintaining a whole house. |
