I realized in my Spring Cleaning project that there was one thing I forgot to clean…. the blinds. Blinds are so hard to clean. Swiffer dusters work to a point, but over time you need something stronger. I found this wonderful pin on how to easily clean your blinds.
It was such an easy and cheap pin. Mix equal parts vinegar and warm water into a bowl. Put your hand in an old sock and then wipe between slots. I would also recommend rubber gloves under the socks. I didn’t realize until after I stuck my hand in the vinegar that I had cuts on my hand (OWWW!!!)
It was as simple as dipping your hand/sock in the vinegar and wiping each slot in the blinds. Also, KEEP THE WINDOW OPEN. The vinegar smell is obnoxious.

I think it worked good. I was feeling a little lazy doing this, but it seemed to do a pretty good job at cleaning the blinds. It got rid of the dust and some of the stains. |
